A 35-year-old woman’s body found in a PG in Mangolpuri; three accused arrested as police probe murder and possible assault angles.
April 9, 2026: A 35-year-old woman was found dead inside a bed storage compartment at a paying guest accommodation in outer Delhi’s Mangolpuri, police said. The body was recovered after a PCR call on April 7 reported suspicious circumstances at a building in Patthar Market. Officers found strangulation marks on the victim’s neck along with a head injury, indicating foul play.
Police have arrested three men — Surendra alias Bobby, Joginder, and Deepak (22) — in connection with the case. According to investigators, the victim, a resident of Mangolpuri, was in a relationship with Deepak and had visited the PG on the day of the incident. She reportedly spent about an hour there before suspicion arose after the accused left, prompting the PG owner to alert authorities.
Forensic teams examined the scene and collected evidence, while police are also probing possible sexual assault angles along with the sequence of events leading to the crime. A case has been registered under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, including charges of murder. The accused are currently being questioned as the investigation continues.
