The biggest batch of the ongoing Amarnath Yatra, comprising 8,815 pilgrims, including 31 foreign nationals, departed from the Bhagwati Nagar base camp in Jammu on Tuesday under tight security.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday extended his best wishes to devotees undertaking the annual Amarnath Yatra, calling the pilgrimage a "great privilege" and an eternal part of India's spiritual heritage.
