Karnataka Chief Minister D K Shivakumar on Monday rejected allegations that his government was interfering in the ongoing Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls, saying the entire exercise was being conducted under the supervision of the Election Commission of India (ECI).
The Congress on Friday alleged that electoral democracy in India is facing its "gravest threat" under the current government and urged the Supreme Court to take urgent steps to safeguard the integrity and fairness of the electoral process.
