Speculation over the long-awaited India-UK trade agreement intensified after Prime Minister Narendra Modi and UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer were overheard discussing what appeared to be a breakthrough during the G7 Summit in France.
Union Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal on Monday expressed confidence that the first tranche of the India-US bilateral trade agreement will be signed soon. Speaking at a press conference, he said that most major issues have already been resolved and discussions are now in the final stages.
