Households across India will have to pay more for cooking gas as oil marketing companies have increased the price of domestic LPG cylinders by Rs 29, effective June 7, 2026. This marks the second hike in domestic LPG prices within the last three months.
The 5-kg Free Trade LPG cylinder, commonly known as the “chotu cylinder”, has become more expensive from June 1. Oil marketing companies have increased the price by ₹11, taking the retail rate in Delhi to ₹821.50 per cylinder.
