Shiv Sena MLC Sachin Ahir was on Tuesday elected unopposed as the Deputy Chairman of the Maharashtra Legislative Council after the Opposition withdrew its candidate to facilitate a unanimous election.
Shiv Sena (UBT) suffered another political setback on Tuesday after senior leader Sachin Ahir filed his nomination for the post of Deputy Chairman of the Maharashtra Legislative Council on behalf of the Eknath Shinde-led Shiv Sena faction.
