Activist Sonam Wangchuk was shifted from the Jantar Mantar protest site to a nearby government hospital on Friday following directions from the Delhi High Court and medical advice, Delhi Police confirmed. New Delhi DCP Sachin Sharma said Wangchuk was moved to ensure necessary medical treatment and has been placed under continuous medical supervision.
Tension escalated in Jammu and Kashmir's Doda district after a local youth was allegedly shot dead during a confrontation involving Special Operations Group (SOG) personnel in the Bhaderwah area late on Thursday night.
