The Special Investigation Team (SIT) on Monday arrested suspended Badrinath-Kedarnath Temple Committee (BKTC) employee Pramod Nautiyal in connection with the alleged theft of donations from the Badrinath Temple. Uttarakhand Police said Nautiyal was traced and arrested in Dehradun after multiple search teams were deployed.
The investigation into the alleged embezzlement of donations at Uttarakhand's Badrinath Dham has intensified after a preliminary internal enquiry revealed irregularities in the handling of temple offerings. A Special Investigation Team (SIT) visited the shrine, reviewed CCTV footage, examined call records, and recorded statements of key witnesses.
