US President Donald Trump has issued a sharp warning to Iran, claiming that the United States has “1,000 missiles locked and loaded” and aimed at the Islamic Republic in response to any alleged attempt on his life.
In a statement, Trump said that if Iran or its government carries out or attempts an assassination against him, the US military has already been instructed to launch a devastating response.
According to Trump, the military is prepared to retaliate for up to one year, with the option to extend those orders if necessary. He claimed the response would involve overwhelming force targeting multiple locations across Iran.
Israeli Intelligence Alert
Trump’s remarks came after reports suggested that Israeli intelligence had informed US officials about an alleged Iranian plot to assassinate the American president.
According to reports, Israel shared intelligence with Washington indicating that Tehran was planning an assassination attempt. US intelligence agencies have reportedly been monitoring potential threats against Trump in recent weeks, although officials have not publicly confirmed the claims.
Nuclear Talks May Continue
Despite the strong rhetoric, Trump said the United States has agreed to continue negotiations with Iran after Tehran reportedly requested further talks.
However, he also declared that the ceasefire between the two countries is effectively over, accusing Iran of violating previous understandings following renewed military strikes.
Fresh Nuclear Negotiations Expected
Reports suggest that US and Iranian officials are likely to hold another round of nuclear negotiations in Switzerland next week as diplomatic efforts continue despite escalating tensions.
The latest developments have heightened concerns about regional stability, with observers closely watching whether diplomacy can prevent further escalation between Washington and Tehran.
