Australia have once again cemented their position at the top of the ICC Women’s ODI Team Rankings following the latest annual update, underlining their continued dominance in international women’s cricket.

Although the reigning giants dropped two rating points to reach 163, they still sit comfortably ahead of the rest of the field, maintaining a sizeable lead over second-placed England.

England remain in the No. 2 position with 128 rating points. Despite a marginal improvement in their tally, they continue to trail Australia by a significant margin, highlighting the gap between the top two sides.

India, fresh off their remarkable triumph at the ICC Women’s World Cup 2025, have retained third place in the rankings with 126 points. Their position remains unchanged, even after a historic campaign that included a notable semi-final victory over Australia en route to lifting the trophy.

The rest of the top six sees no movement, reflecting stability among the leading teams. South Africa occupy fourth place with 100 points, followed by New Zealand (93) and Sri Lanka (89), all holding steady in the latest update.

Among the notable changes, Bangladesh have climbed to seventh place with 73 rating points, edging past Pakistan. Pakistan slip to eighth position with 72 points, marking a minor reshuffle in the mid-table standings.

Further down the rankings, there has been little change among the established sides. However, Thailand and the Netherlands have temporarily dropped out after failing to meet the ICC’s requirement of playing at least eight ODIs over a three-year period. Thailand are just one match short of regaining eligibility, while the Netherlands need two more games to re-enter the rankings.

India’s most recent ODI outing came during their tour of Australia, where they faced a tough challenge and suffered a 3-0 series defeat, despite entering the contest on the back of their World Cup success.

The ICC’s annual rankings update process is still ongoing. The Women’s and Men’s T20I Team Rankings are set to be released on May 5, while the Men’s ODI Team Rankings will follow on May 7.
