Srinagar, July 12: The number of fatalities from the Ramban road accident now stands at five after another victim passed away early on Saturday morning at SKIMS Hospital Srinagar.
A TATA Sumo car went off the road and fell down a steep valley in the Ukhral Pogal Paristan Tehsil of district Ramban on Friday, July 11, causing the sad disaster.

The truck rolled down around 600 feet from the road in the Paristan region of Ukhral Tehsil, on the Senabati connecting road close to Madina Masjid Hill.
Dr. Abdul Rehman of BMO Ukhral reported that two of the six injured were pronounced dead and that the remaining six were sent to PHC Ukhral. He claimed that following first aid at PHC Ukhral, four injured people were sent to SDH Banihal, where another injured person passed away from his wounds, bringing the total number of fatalities to three. Later, while traveling to GMC Anantnag, another injured person passed away from his wounds.
The deceased were identified by the police as Abdul Latief Gujjar, a resident of Bingara Panchayat in Ukhral Pogal Paristan tehsil in district Ramban, Towqeer Ahmed Bhat of Paristan Panchayat, and Mohammad Rafiq Gujjar, the owner and driver of the unfortunate Tata Sumo.
Two injured people have been referred to Government Medical College (GMC) Anantnag for further care, according to the officials.
