More than half of the women receiving financial assistance under the Punjab government's Mukh Mantri Maawan Dhian Satkar Yojana belong to the 36–59 age group, according to beneficiary data released by the state. Women aged 36–45 account for 25.2 per cent of beneficiaries, while those between 46 and 59 years make up 25.4 per cent, together representing over half of all recipients under the scheme.

A 42-year-old patient admitted to the emergency ward of Delhi's Guru Teg Bahadur (GTB) Hospital died hours after a ceiling fan allegedly fell on him while he was undergoing treatment on Saturday night. The Delhi High Court on Sunday refused to grant interim relief to activist Sonam Wangchuk's wife, Geetanjali J. Hearing the plea, Justice Mini Pushkarna observed that the court had to consider the "larger picture" and noted that Wangchuk was not under detention.

A 25-year-old former tech professional died by suicide in Hyderabad after leaving her home during the night and later jumping into a pond, police said on Saturday. According to investigators, the woman had been struggling with mental health issues. She had been living with her mother in Peerzadiguda, while her father resided in Visakhapatnam following marital disputes between the couple.
