Actor Rajkummar Rao has become the center of a social media discussion after a comment he posted about his appearance in the song “Modi Hai Toh Mumkin Hai” was deleted and later went viral through screenshots. The actor’s response came after a user criticized his participation in the song, leading to widespread debate over the meaning of his words, particularly the phrase “You can never know the pressure.”
The discussion began after Rajkummar shared a social media post expressing support for students protesting in New Delhi over the alleged NEET-UG examination irregularities. In the comments section of the post, a user questioned the actor’s involvement in the song, which featured several Bollywood personalities, and expressed disappointment over his decision.
The user wrote that they had admired Rajkummar’s work but felt let down by his participation in what they described as a propaganda song. The comment questioned the actor’s choices and said they expected him to represent a new generation of artists.
Responding to the criticism, Rajkummar reportedly shared a detailed reply, which was later deleted. Screenshots of the comment circulated widely online, with users analyzing his statement and discussing the possible meaning behind his words.
In the deleted comment, Rajkummar wrote, “I can never sell my soul brother. And one song does not define who I am, what I stand for or what my ideologies in life are. You can never know the pressure. I stand for what is right and what keeps us united as human beings.” He further added that he believed in keeping his conscience clear and hoped to regain the respect of those who disagreed with him.
The phrase “You can never know the pressure” became the most discussed part of his response, with some social media users interpreting it as a reference to the circumstances surrounding his participation in the song. However, Rajkummar did not clarify what he meant by the statement or confirm that he faced any pressure related to the project.
The actor had earlier expressed his support for students protesting over the alleged NEET-UG issue. In an Instagram post, Rajkummar emphasized the importance of dialogue, compassion, and a fair education system. Rajkummar also appealed for peaceful discussions, saying that violence from any side only creates further problems. Meanwhile, protests over alleged irregularities in the NEET examination continue across several parts of the country. Thousands of students and supporters recently participated in the ‘Chalo Sansad’ march in New Delhi, demanding accountability and action over their concerns.
Several members of the entertainment industry, including Salman Khan, Alia Bhatt, R. Madhavan, Anupam Kher, Sonakshi Sinha, Naseeruddin Shah, and Imran Khan, have also voiced support for students and called for a peaceful resolution to the ongoing issue.
