Salman Khan has extended his support to younger brother Sohail Khan after the filmmaker-actor made a surprise wild card entry into Prime Video’s reality show The Alliance. Salman shared the promo of Sohail’s entry on his Instagram Story and wished him luck with a heartfelt message that read, “Best wishes, brother.”
Sohail is among the latest contestants to join the strategy-based reality show, alongside Nigerian content creator Agu Stanley. Their arrival is expected to bring fresh twists to the competition as contestants continue battling through alliances, mind games and strategic challenges.

The Khan family also rallied behind Sohail, with sister Arpita Khan sharing an emotional message on social media. She admitted that she missed talking to her brother while he was away filming the show and expressed excitement about watching him compete. Arpita wished Sohail success, adding that the family was cheering for him throughout his journey.
Speaking about his decision to participate in The Alliance, Sohail revealed that he had never imagined himself doing reality television. Having watched Salman host reality shows for years, he always believed that format suited his brother. However, he explained that The Alliance attracted him because it focuses on strategy, psychological gameplay and intelligence rather than emotional drama.
Sohail Khan has enjoyed a successful career as an actor, director and producer in Bollywood. He made his directorial debut with Auzaar in 1997 and later directed popular films like Pyaar Kiya To Darna Kya and Hello Brother. As an actor, he has appeared in movies including Maine Pyaar Kyun Kiya?, Heroes, Fight Club and Tubelight.
Hosted by Kunal Kemmu, The Alliance features 16 celebrities and digital creators competing in pairs through shifting alliances, physical tasks and psychological challenges. The latest wild card entries are expected to significantly alter the dynamics of the game as the competition moves into its next phase.
Meanwhile, Salman Khan is preparing for the release of his upcoming film Maatrubhumi, directed by Apoorva Lakhia. While recent reports claimed the film had encountered certification issues, Salman Khan’s production house has dismissed those reports as baseless.
