The Cockroach Janta Party has announced a nationwide agitation and warned of an indefinite sit-in at Jantar Mantar
June 10, 2026: The Cockroach Janta Party (CJP), a youth-led movement that emerged from a satirical social media platform, has intensified its campaign against Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan. Addressing the media in New Delhi, the group said it would launch an indefinite peaceful sit-in at Jantar Mantar from June 20 if the minister does not resign over alleged irregularities in the conduct of examinations. The announcement comes days after a protest organised by the group in the national capital.
The CJP described the issue as a national concern affecting millions of students and families across the country. The organisation accused the Education Ministry of failing to ensure accountability and alleged that repeated examination-related controversies have jeopardised the future of young aspirants. According to the group, responsibility must begin at the highest level, and therefore it continues to demand the resignation of Dharmendra Pradhan.
The movement has also unveiled plans for protests in multiple cities, beginning with Pune on June 11, followed by demonstrations in Lucknow, Amritsar, Bengaluru, Jaipur and Hyderabad. CJP founder Abhijeet Dipke said climate activist Sonam Wangchuk is expected to join the Pune protest. The organisation has called on students, teachers, parents and citizens to participate in what it describes as a nationwide campaign for accountability and reforms in the education system.
