Police in Rajasthan’s Bhilwara have uncovered an alleged online fraud network that promised fake NEET question papers

June 19, 2026: Rajasthan Police have uncovered an alleged online fraud network linked to fake NEET examination papers in Bhilwara, just days before the national medical entrance test. Acting on a tip-off, officials detained a youth identified as Akash, who is suspected of operating the scam through encrypted digital platforms. During a raid at his residence, police seized a mobile phone, study materials and several documents believed to be connected to the case.

According to investigators, the accused allegedly used VPN services and proxy-based access to run a Telegram channel called “Paper Mafia.” Through the channel, NEET aspirants were reportedly approached with claims that question papers could be accessed before the examination. Preliminary findings indicate that nearly 52 individuals were associated with the channel, and police are now examining financial transactions and communication records linked to the operation.

Authorities have clarified that the material being circulated was completely fake and that no official NEET question paper was leaked. Investigators are focusing on whether students were cheated financially and whether the accused was working alone or as part of a larger cyber fraud network. Security measures have been intensified ahead of the examination, and officials have warned of strict action against anyone attempting to mislead candidates or disrupt the exam process.
