India condemned the Iranian attack on Kuwait International Airport that killed an Indian national and injured several others
June 3, 2026: India on Wednesday strongly condemned the Iranian attack on Kuwait International Airport that killed an Indian national and left several others injured. The Indian Embassy in Kuwait confirmed the death and expressed condolences to the bereaved family. The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) later issued a statement denouncing the targeting of civilian infrastructure and reaffirmed India’s position that civilians and public facilities must be protected during the ongoing conflict in West Asia.
According to officials, the deceased Indian was employed at the airport. Kuwait’s foreign ministry reported that the attack caused casualties and damaged key infrastructure, including diplomatic facilities. The country’s civil aviation authority temporarily suspended air traffic and diverted flights to alternative airports. India said its diplomatic missions across the region remain on alert and are working closely with local authorities to ensure the safety and welfare of Indian citizens.
The latest incident has pushed the number of Indians killed since the start of the West Asia conflict to ten. Several others have been injured in attacks across countries including Kuwait, the UAE, Saudi Arabia and Oman. India has continued to call for restraint and an immediate halt to attacks on civilian populations and infrastructure as tensions in the region remain high.
