Police used a dummy body, examined movement routes, and reviewed digital evidence as part of the ongoing investigation into Chetan Agrawal’s alleged murder.
June 28, 2026: The investigation into the alleged murder of Chetan Agrawal has intensified, with Pune Rural Police carrying out a detailed crime scene reconstruction at Lohagad Fort to establish the sequence of events. The accused, identified as Siya and Chetan, were taken to the fort, where investigators recreated their alleged movements to verify statements and assess how the incident may have unfolded. Senior police officials supervised the exercise, which lasted several hours.
According to police sources, investigators retraced the suspected route, identified key locations within the fort, and examined how the victim may have been pushed from a height. A dummy body matching the victim’s approximate weight was reportedly used to simulate the fall, while forensic experts documented each stage of the reconstruction. The exercise also aimed to determine whether the incident could have been staged to appear as an accident.
Police are also examining digital evidence, including alleged internet search history that may indicate planning before the crime. Investigators believe the searches could be linked to methods of causing harm and concealing evidence, though officials have not disclosed full technical details as the probe remains underway. Authorities said all forensic, digital, and on-ground findings will be evaluated before being presented in court.
