The Uttar Pradesh government will conduct a two-day training programme in Lucknow for district coordinators to strengthen implementation of the NIPUN Bharat Mission

May 29, 2026: The Uttar Pradesh government is set to strengthen the implementation of the NIPUN Bharat Mission through a special training programme for district coordinators focused on quality education reforms and foundational learning. The two-day programme will be held at State Council of Educational Research and Training on June 1 and 2, with representatives from all 75 districts participating.

According to officials, the initiative aims to improve implementation, monitoring and evaluation systems related to foundational literacy, numeracy and academic quality enhancement at the grassroots level. District coordinators will receive training in academic and administrative monitoring, data-based planning, teacher support systems and methods to improve Student Learning Outcomes (SLOs). The sessions will also cover activity-based learning, quality assessment and teacher capacity building under the NIPUN Bharat Mission.

The programme will be conducted in two batches covering different divisions of the state. The government said the initiative forms part of broader education reforms introduced in council schools, including Operation Kayakalp, smart classrooms, digital monitoring systems and technology-driven learning models. Officials believe the training will help strengthen district-level academic planning and improve educational outcomes across government schools in Uttar Pradesh.
