A 26-year-old woman was found hanging at her matrimonial home in Ambernath, Maharashtra, barely six weeks after her marriage, leading to the arrest of her husband and two family members. The deceased, Vishakha Tilkar, had married Dr. Nitin Tilkar on April 30 and was found dead on Tuesday.
Tushar Mehta on Monday told the Supreme Court of India that “a divorced daughter is better than a dead daughter” during the hearing of the Twisha Sharma case.
