The political lobbying over Karnataka's long-pending cabinet expansion has intensified, with a delegation of retired defence personnel, former Olympians and eminent citizens from Kodagu urging Chief Minister DK Shivakumar to induct Virajpet MLA AS Ponnanna into the state cabinet.
Senior Congress leader Ramalinga Reddy resigned from the Karnataka cabinet on Friday, just two days after being inducted into the expanded ministry headed by Chief Minister DK Shivakumar.
