Legendary cricketer Sachin Tendulkar, accompanied by his wife Anjali Tendulkar, touched down in Ranchi on Saturday with a special mission: to uplift and inspire young female footballers.

Speaking to reporters upon his arrival, the cricket icon shared that his visit to Ranchi was in support of the Sachin Tendulkar Foundation’s collaboration with the Youth Foundation, aimed at nurturing talent among budding women football players.

Renowned for his unparalleled achievements on the cricket field, Sachin Tendulkar boasts a stellar career record, amassing a staggering 34,357 runs in 664 international appearances at an average of 48.52. His legacy includes an unmatched tally of 100 centuries and 164 half-centuries, making him a true titan of the sport.

Not just limited to batting prowess, Sachin also contributed with his part-time spin bowling, claiming 201 international wickets throughout his illustrious career.

In addition to his monumental achievements in cricket, Sachin Tendulkar also left an indelible mark in the Indian Premier League (IPL), representing the Mumbai Indians across six seasons from 2008 to 2013. His remarkable performances, including a memorable 2010 season where he clinched the ‘Orange Cap,’ further solidified his status as one of the IPL’s most iconic figures.

Despite bidding adieu to professional cricket, Sachin’s dedication to sports and youth development continues, as evidenced by his recent visit to Ranchi to empower and motivate the next generation of women footballers.
