A sneak peek into the sci-fi dystopian film ‘Kalki 2898 AD’ featuring Amitabh Bachchan left his son, Abhishek Bachchan, awestruck. During a thrilling Indian Premier League (IPL) match between Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB), the makers unveiled a tantalizing teaser showcasing Amitabh’s enigmatic portrayal as the immortal ‘Ashwatthama.’

In the 21-second teaser, Amitabh Bachchan’s presence exuded power as he was seen seated in a cave, immersed in prayer to a Shiva linga, adorned with bandages. A young child’s curious inquiry, “Are you a god? Can you not die? Who are you?” elicits a cryptic response from his character, “Since the Dwapar Yug, I have waited for the Dasavatar, Dronacharya’s son, Ashwatthama.”

Abhishek Bachchan, ever the supportive son, took to social media to share his admiration, dubbing his father as “THE BOSS!!!!” Fans echoed their excitement in the comments, eagerly anticipating the release of ‘Kalki 2898 AD.’

Before the teaser’s unveiling, Amitabh Bachchan had teased fans with the film’s new poster on social media, expressing his unparalleled experience working on the project.

Directed by Nag Ashwin, renowned for his directorial prowess in films like ‘Yevade Subramanyam’ and ‘Mahanati,’ ‘Kalki 2898 AD’ promises to be a mythology-inspired sci-fi extravaganza set in the future.

Apart from Amitabh Bachchan, the film boasts an ensemble cast including Kamal Haasan, Prabhas, Deepika Padukone, and Disha Patani, further adding to the anticipation surrounding the project.
