The divorce rumours of Aishwarya Rai and Abhishek Bachchan have been doing rounds on the internet for quite some time now and fans are curious to know about the reality. Though the couple has not reacted to the rumours, it appears that all is not well in the Bachchan household and there have been multiple incidents that support this buzz.

Fans first took notice of the discordant vibes during one of the Kabbadi matches in which Abhishek Bachchan’s team, Jaipur Pink Panthers was playing. Aishwarya who was in attendance with Aaradhya was seen getting miffed at Abhishek.
In a video that went viral then, Abhishek was seen saying something to Aishwarya, after which the latter seemingly rolled her eyes. Further, during the match, she was also seen snapping at his niece, Navya Naveli Nanda, who was sitting beside her.
The video became the topic of discussion on Reddit and has grabbed many eyeballs since. Then came the Paris Fashion week in October this year, where Navya Naveli Nanda was debuting the ramp. Navya was accompanied by her mom, Shweta Bachchan Nanda and nani, Jaya Bachchan. Navya penned a long note on her debut ramp walk and also shared a picture with Shweta and Jaya. Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, who was also part of the event, was nowhere in the frame that featured Navya, Shweta, and Jaya. Not just this, Navya also skipped tagging Aishwarya, which raised many eyebrows.
As if to fuel the fire, Navya’s mom, Shweta Bachchan, also shared an array of pictures from the event along with a heartfelt note for Navya but didn’t bother to mention Aishwarya’s name anywhere. These series of events were closely followed by Amitabh Bachchan’s 80th birthday on October11.
Shweta Bachchan took to her official Instagram handle and posted a photo where Amitabh Bachchan can be seen accompanied by his better half, Jaya Bachchan, and grandchildren, Aaradhya, Navya and Agastya.
Shweta’s post came just after Aishwarya dropped the same photograph on her social media account. However, she had cropped out Jaya Bachchan, Navya Naveli, and Agastya from the frame, focusing on only Big B and daughter Aaradhya. Posting the picture on the app, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan penned in the comment section, “Always…God Blesssss.”
Then came November-1, the day Aishwarya Rai turned 50. She celebrated this momentous occasion with her mother, Brinda Rai and her daughter, Aradhya Bachchan. But neither Abhishek Bachchan nor the Bachchan clan were present at Aishwarya’s 50th birthday bash, which again raised many eyebrows.
Further, Abhishek Bachchan, took to his Instagram handle and posted a throwback monochrome picture with a close-up of her face. Abhishek penned a one-liner caption with the picture, which can be read as “Happy birthday!” A very dry wish indeed for his better half.
Close on the heels, came ace fashion designer, Manish Malhotra’s Diwali party also in November 2023, which was attended by many A-listed stars of Tinsel Town. Aishwarya, too made an appearance in a traditional attire. While many social media users hailed Aishwarya’s gorgeous looks even at 50, a section of netizens noticed her solo appearance and commented on the alleged troubles in her marriage.
Also, at a recent event, Abhishek Bachchan was spotted sans his wedding ring, a user on Reddit wrote how he has been attending public events and being clicked without his ring for quite some time.
And finally comes what is now widely being understood as Bachchan Senior’s take on the Abhi-Ash break-up news, is a cryptic note that he shared on Social Media recently. He broke his silence after reports of him unfollowing Aishwarya Rai on Instagram surfaced online. The actor took to the X (formerly Twitter) and shared a picture from the set of Kaun Banega Crorepati.
He penned a cryptic note in the caption of the photo to address those who reported that the actor has unfollowed Aishwarya Rai on Instagram. His tweet reads, ” “Everything said everything done .. so do the done and done the do ..”. This tweet is being seen as adding credence to the reported break-up and now it remains to be seen how the future will unfold for the once power couple of the Tinsel town.
Just to jog the memory, it was in 2007 when Aishwarya added Bachchan to her surname by tying the knot with Abhishek. The couple became proud parents Aaradhya to in 2011.
