Advance bookings for Alia Bhatt’s much-awaited action entertainer Alpha officially opened on Wednesday, just two days before its theatrical release on July 3.
Starring Alia Bhatt, Sharvari, Bobby Deol and Anil Kapoor, the film has already recorded encouraging pre-release business, with trade analysts expecting a solid opening at the Indian box office.
Alpha Earns ₹1.75 Crore in Advance Bookings
According to trade analyst Ramesh Bala, Alpha has collected approximately ₹1.75 crore through advance ticket sales so far.
Speaking to media, Bala said:
“The film should earn more than ₹5 crore on Day 1. If the word of mouth is good, it could collect around ₹15 crore over its first weekend.”
The advance booking figures indicate steady audience interest ahead of the film’s release.
Trade Unfazed by Box Office Clash
Alpha will release alongside Huma Qureshi’s independent film Baby Do Die Do.
However, Bala believes the clash is unlikely to affect Alpha’s performance.
“Alpha shouldn’t face any issue,” he said, adding that the two films belong to completely different genres and cater to different audiences.

Speaking to media about the simultaneous release, Huma Qureshi described it as a positive moment for female-led cinema.
“I think it’s a great time for female content,” she said.
“I think there’s space for more than one film to compete on the same day and still perform well. Why should only two boy films compete?”
She also acknowledged the difference in scale between the two releases.
“Having said that, we are a very small film, very independently produced, and we just need a little bit of space.”
Two Very Different Films
While Baby Do Die Do is an independent production backed by the newly launched Saleem Siblings banner, Alpha is one of Yash Raj Films’ biggest releases of the year.
The film also marks the first female-led installment in the YRF Spy Universe, with Alia Bhatt and Sharvari leading the action-packed thriller.
Featuring Bobby Deol and Anil Kapoor in pivotal roles, Alpha is expected to be one of the biggest Bollywood releases of the season.
