Dacoit: A Love Story, starring Adivi Sesh and Mrunal Thakur, completed its first six days in theaters on Wednesday, April 15, 2026. While the film delivered the biggest opening of Sesh’s career, its mid-week performance shows a slight cooling off after a surprising surge on Tuesday.

Box Office Breakdown (India Net)
According to trade tracking site Sacnilk, the film added ₹1.10 crore on Wednesday. While this is a dip from Tuesday’s performance, it brings the total domestic collection to a respectable ₹26.60 crore.

DayCollection (Net)

Saturday₹6.85 crore
Sunday₹6.40 crore
Monday₹2.70 crore

The Comparison: Dacoit has officially moved past the lifetime domestic net of Sesh’s 2022 thriller HIT: The Second Case (₹25.92 crore). However, it remains roughly ₹4 crore behind the six-day total of Major (₹30.65 crore), which benefited from stronger critical word-of-mouth.

Adivi Sesh Responds to Mixed Reviews
In a recent interview, Adivi Sesh addressed the divide between critics and the audience. While acknowledging that the film hasn’t been a “critical darling” like his past projects, he highlighted the strength of the audience’s response.

Next Up: Fans of Adivi Sesh can look forward to his upcoming high-octane spy sequel, G2 (the follow-up to Goodachari), which is currently in production.
