Hema Malini's Daughters Rally Support in Mathura Ahead of Lok Sabha Polls

The daughters of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) candidate Hema Malini, Isha and Ahana Deol, made a significant appearance in Mathura, engaging with locals and bolstering their mother’s campaign for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.

Their visit commenced with a spiritual stop at the revered Banke Bihari Temple, where they sought the blessings of Lord Banke Bihari Ji. Temple priest Abhilash Goswami bestowed upon them the sacred cloth and ‘prasad,’ symbolizing divine blessings for their endeavor.

In an interaction with ANI, Isha Deol commended the developmental strides witnessed in Mathura and Vrindavan, expressing admiration for the preservation of heritage alongside progress.

Speaking about her mother’s candidacy, Isha exuded confidence in Hema Malini’s victory, citing the overwhelming support from Mathura’s residents. She emphasized the significance of local backing in facilitating her mother’s aspirations for the constituency.

Following their temple visit, Isha and Ahana are scheduled to engage with the youth at colleges and universities in Mathura, amplifying their outreach efforts.

Hema Malini’s candidature from the Mathura Lok Sabha seat marks her third consecutive nomination by the BJP. With the support of her family, including husband and actor Dharmendra, Hema Malini aims to secure another term in office.

Mathura, a historically significant constituency, has witnessed fluctuating political fortunes over the years. However, the BJP’s resurgence in 2014, coupled with the public welfare initiatives of the incumbent government, has bolstered Hema Malini’s standing among voters.

As Uttar Pradesh gears up for the Lok Sabha elections across seven phases, Mathura is slated for polling in the second phase on April 26. The electoral landscape in the state remains dynamic, with each phase bringing new challenges and opportunities for candidates vying for parliamentary seats.
