My sincere appreciation goes out to the entire cast, crew, and producers for their tireless dedication and inventiveness. To Al, who asked me to direct this movie—how could I say no to Pacino? Sincere gratitude for allowing him to freely donate his skill and commitment to our initiative. I’m thrilled to share this singular and gripping tale with the world, and Modi is a monument to the cooperative spirit of indie cinema.” The majority of the film was filmed in Budapest, Romania; Al Pacino’s sequences were most recently recorded in the United States. The first behind-the-scenes photos of Johnny Depp directing the currently wrapping-up biopic Modi have surfaced, according to Deadline.

During the course of a 48-hour video, the life of Italian artist Amedeo Modigliani is followed, revealing a turbulent sequence of events that took place in the streets and bars of war-torn Paris during World War One. Depp most recently acted in the French-language drama Jeanne Du Barry, which screened at Cannes. According to Deadline, Entertainment Weekly obtained the photographs first.
