While the Rajya Sabha continued its scheduled oath-taking ceremony for newly elected members, including Trinamool Congress leader Sushmita Dev, the Lok Sabha witnessed repeated disruptions due to Opposition protests. The Rajya Sabha proceeded with its constitutional business as planned, while proceedings in the Lower House were repeatedly interrupted.
In the Lok Sabha, Speaker Om Birla appealed to members to uphold the dignity and traditions of Parliament.
