New Delhi: Aman Kumar Sharma, a 35-year-old judicial officer in Delhi, died by suicide on Saturday, police said. He was found hanging at his residence in the Safdarjung area of the city.
Officials confirmed that an investigation has been initiated to ascertain the circumstances surrounding his death.
Judicial Career and Background
Sharma had a legal background from Symbiosis Law School, where he completed his BA LLB in 2018. He later joined the Delhi Judicial Services on June 19, 2021, beginning his career in the judiciary.
Over the years, he served in multiple capacities, handling both criminal and civil matters as a Judicial Magistrate First Class and Civil Judge.
Recent Posting
In October 2025, Sharma was appointed as the full-time secretary of the District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) for the North-East district at the Karkardooma Courts in Delhi.
In this role, he was involved in overseeing legal aid services and ensuring access to justice for underprivileged sections of society.
Investigation Underway
