Rajasthan Having Mini-CMs Under Congress’ Rule: BJP’s Rajendra Rathore Attacks Gehlot Govt

Tonk (Rajasthan) [India]: Leader of the Opposition in Rajasthan Assembly Rajendra Rathore took a dig at the Congress party saying the ruling party in the state has spent only on advertisements without any budget provision ultimately resulting in divided leadership that has now made “mini-chief ministers” in the state.

“The Rajasthan government has spent in advertisements for multiple days without any budget provision,” Rathore said adding, CM Ashok Gehlot has only made announcements one after another.

Coming down heavily on the Congress party, the BJP leader asserted that the ruling Congress has spent over 2000 crores only to glorify the image of Ashok Gehlot.

“The ‘Design Boxed’ (Political Campaign Management Company) spent more than Rs 2000 crore to glorify the image of the Chief Minister (Ashok Gehlot), but now with the Code of Conduct being implemented, this (Congress party) is compelled to move out of the advertisements,” he said.

“The government’s entire tenure was surrounded by conflicts which created mini CMs in all the legislative assembly constituencies,” he said.

“The loot and mafia raj by these mini CMs resulted in money extortion in Rajasthan,” Rathore alleged.

Adressing a press conference, Rathore said that the police were attacked multiple times under the Ashok Gehlot government which has now shattered the morale of the police.
A situation of panic has been created regarding water and electricity in the state, he asserted.

In the same breath, he also took a jibe at Congress leader Sachin Pilot saying, “Farmers in the state faced injustice in terms of electricity supply. Transformers of a number of farmers caught fire in Tonk and were not replaced for four months and maximum shortage of electricity was faced over here, water issue was faced, and illegal mining, illegal slaughterhouse and non-availability of crop insurance were also major issues over here.”

The BJP leader further said that the youth of Tonk had high hopes from the MLA of the constituency (Sachin Pilot) but he did not fulfil his promises as soon as he became a part of the CWC (Congress Working Committee).

This time there will be a shift of power in Tonk as well, said Rathore.
He further said that the CM has himself accepted in assembly today that 19,400 farmers’ land was auctioned. The promises made by the government were not fulfilled so the people are now all set to give their reply to all of these circumstances and actions by the government, he added.

Speaking on Vasundhara Raje’s position in the party, Rathore said, “Vasundhara Raje is National Vice President of BJP and an honorary member of our Parliamentary Board. We make decisions in her presence so there is no question of ignoring (her).”

“This is not Congress where fellow party members call each other useless and shameless. This is BJP and Vasundhara Raje is without a doubt, one of our respectable leaders. She is also on the ticket committee,” added Rathore.

He further mentioned that the BJP has faith in its workers and even if there is any minor issue then we will solve it internally like a family and BJP will stand united against Congress.

On being questioned about the number of tickets to minorities, Rathore said that the Parliamentary Board will make the decision on that on the basis of merit, I don’t have any authority to comment on it.

On being questioned about PM Modi’s recent statement on the Israel-Palestine issue and his stand on Manipur violence, Rathore said, “PM Modi is a global leader and his leadership was accepted in G20 under the concept of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam (world is one family) so him worrying about the situation (Israel-Palestine) is completely right and as far as the Manipur issue is concerned, our union home minister is in constant touch with the issue and situation over there.”

“Wherever it is needed, PM has always taken cognizance of the matter,” said the BJP leader.
