Sachin Tendulkar makes return to cricket field

After playing his final international match in 2013, legendary Indian cricketer Sachin Tendulkar made a comeback to the game on Thursday by participating in the One World One Family Cup tournament in Bengaluru. Players that appeared in the match included Ajantha Mendis, Mutthiah Muralitharan, Chaminda Vaas, and Indian talents Yuvraj Singh, Tendulkar, Irfan Pathan, RP Singh, and Yusuf Pathan. Tendulkar led the ‘One World’ side, while Yuvraj led the ‘One Family’ side.

Throughout the game, Sachin scored 27 runs in 16 balls, which included three fours and a six. Eventually, he was eliminated by Sri Lankan spin wizard Muralitharan. Tendulkar also took a wicket in the match, which ‘One World’ won by a margin of four wickets. Darren Maddy (51), Yusuf (38) and Yuvraj (23) were among ‘One Family’s’ leading batters as they amassed 180/6. Maddy used to be an England athlete. Harbhajan Singh score of 2/30 for “One World” Tendulkar (27), former Sri Lankan opener Upul Tharanga (29), and former South African all-rounder Alviro Petersen (74), scored most of the runs in this Twenty20 encounter. Chaminda Vaas, the former speed legend of Sri Lanka, had a 3:36 time, but ‘One World’ outran him, meaning his effort was in naught.
