The Supreme Court is set to hear three petitions on July 13 seeking an investigation into the alleged theft of devotees' donations at Ayodhya's Ram Temple. A three-judge bench comprising Chief Justice Surya Kant, Justice Joymalya Bagchi and Justice V Mohana will hear the matter.
A fresh controversy has surfaced in Ayodhya after statements and letters linked to former Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust General Secretary Champat Rai Bansal drew reactions from several saints and religious leaders. According to reports, some saints have questioned the Trust's handling of the ongoing donation-related controversy and called for greater accountability.
