Google has officially introduced the Fitbit Air, its smallest and most discreet health tracker to date. This tiny, screenless “pebble” targets users who find smartwatches too bulky or expensive. By removing the display, Google aims to eliminate the stress of constant notifications. Instead, the device acts as a quiet partner that sends all detailed health insights directly to the Google Health app on your smartphone.

Pricing and Special Editions

The Fitbit Air is now available for pre-order and works with both Android and iOS devices. The Standard Edition is priced at $99.99 and comes with a three-month trial of Google Health Premium. For sports fans, Google also released a Stephen Curry Special Edition for $129.99. This version features a unique rye brown and orange band designed for better airflow and will hit U.S. shelves on May 26.

High-Tech Health Monitoring

Despite its miniature size, the Fitbit Air is packed with advanced sensors. It provides 24/7 heart rate monitoring, rhythm checks with Afib alerts, and SpO2 level tracking. It is also designed specifically for sleep, allowing users to track sleep stages in total comfort. Pixel Watch owners can even swap to the Fitbit Air at night to maintain data continuity without wearing a large watch to bed.

Battery Life and Smart Features

One of the most impressive features is the battery life, which lasts up to one week on a single charge. If you are in a hurry, a quick five-minute charge provides enough power for an entire day. Furthermore, the device uses the “Google Health Coach” to log workouts. Users can simply snap a photo of gym equipment or a whiteboard routine to record their exercise sessions automatically.

Versatile Design and Accessories

The “pop-out” pebble design allows users to change their style in seconds. Google offers several band options, including the breathable Performance Loop and the waterproof Active Band. For those who want a more polished look, there are also fashionable bracelet options. This versatility ensures the tracker fits in at the gym, the office, or even during a night out.
