A medical professor from Washington State University has suggested that certain public appearances

May 27, 2026: Fresh speculation surrounding the health of Donald Trump has emerged after a medical professor claimed the US President may have suffered a stroke during his second term. The comments were made by Bruce Davidson during a discussion on The Daily Beast podcast. Davidson said his observations were based on Trump’s public appearances, physical movements and speech patterns over time. He pointed to videos showing Trump walking with a shuffle earlier this year, suggesting such movement could sometimes be associated with stroke recovery patients.

The professor also claimed Trump appeared to cradle his right hand with his left hand during public appearances, which he described as a possible sign of weakness on one side of the body. Davidson further referred to what he called episodes of slurred or unclear speech earlier in the year, although he acknowledged these signs appeared less noticeable in recent appearances. Reports also cited comments from CNN medical analyst Jonathan Reiner, who had previously raised concerns about Trump’s apparent insomnia. Davidson suggested sleep disturbances can occasionally follow neurological conditions, though he clarified that his remarks were observational and not based on any confirmed diagnosis.

The White House has strongly rejected speculation regarding Trump’s health and stated that the President continues to undergo routine medical examinations. The administration has previously dismissed concerns related to visible bruising on Trump’s hand, attributing it to frequent handshaking and aspirin use. Trump recently underwent a routine medical check-up at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center and later said that “everything checked out perfectly.” He has also repeatedly stated that he performed exceptionally well in multiple cognitive tests.
