Australia wins toss, chose to bat against Pakistan in 1st Test

At the Optus Stadium on Thursday, Australia’s captain Pat Cummins won the toss and chose to bat first in the opening Test of the three-match series. The World Test Championship 2023–25 table will be largely determined by the results of the three-match series for both teams.
