India has reported fresh Covid-19 cases, bringing renewed attention to the viral infection. In Andhra Pradesh, eight active cases and two Covid-related deaths have been recorded, prompting health authorities to strengthen surveillance and monitoring efforts to prevent further spread.

Medical experts have urged the public to remain calm while staying alert to common symptoms associated with Covid-19. Fever, cough, sore throat, fatigue, and muscle or body aches are among the most frequently reported signs of infection. Since these symptoms often resemble those of the common cold or seasonal flu, doctors recommend seeking medical advice if they persist or worsen instead of relying on self-diagnosis.

According to the World Health Organization (WHO), most people infected with Covid-19 experience mild to moderate illness and recover without requiring special treatment. However, older adults and individuals with underlying health conditions remain at a greater risk of developing severe complications.

Doctors also caution against ignoring warning signs such as difficulty breathing, shortness of breath, or chest pain. These symptoms require immediate medical evaluation and appropriate treatment.

Meanwhile, India continues to strengthen its disease surveillance system through AI-powered monitoring of digital news and health data. Since April 2022, the system has generated thousands of alerts to help identify unusual disease patterns and support early outbreak detection.

As health officials closely monitor the latest Covid-19 cases, experts continue to emphasize the importance of early diagnosis, timely medical consultation, and following basic preventive measures to reduce the risk of transmission.
