A senior party official issued a clear statement dismissing reports of a potential partnership as “entirely false.” The AIADMK has firmly ruled out extending support to Vijay’s party under any circumstances.
Congress Extends Conditional Support
The Tamil Nadu Congress Committee has decided to extend its support to TVK for government formation. Having secured five seats in the election, the Congress party views its contribution as vital for achieving a majority. Nevertheless, this backing comes with a specific condition. Congress leadership stated that their support is contingent upon TVK refusing to include any “communal forces” that do not uphold the Constitution of India.

He argued that since Congress contested the election against TVK, shifting allegiances now is a betrayal of the voters’ mandate.
