Teen batting sensation Vaibhav Sooryavanshi continued his extraordinary rise in world cricket on Saturday by shattering another major T20 record during the IPL 2026 clash between Gujarat Titans and Rajasthan Royals in Jaipur.
The 15-year-old prodigy became the fastest batter in world cricket to complete 100 sixes in T20 cricket. Sooryavanshi achieved the milestone in just 514 balls after smashing a first-ball six off pacer Mohammed Siraj.
He also became the youngest player ever to reach the landmark, adding yet another achievement to his already sensational IPL 2026 campaign.
Sooryavanshi has been rewriting record books throughout the season. Earlier, he became the fastest Indian batter to score a century in IPL history and is currently the only player to have scored two IPL hundreds in fewer than 40 balls — a 35-ball century against Gujarat Titans and a 36-ball ton against Sunrisers Hyderabad.
Against Rajasthan Royals, the youngster once again provided a blistering start, scoring 36 runs off just 16 deliveries. His explosive knock included three boundaries and three sixes, all of which came during the powerplay overs.
With this innings, Sooryavanshi also broke the record for the most sixes hit in the powerplay during a single IPL season.

Meanwhile, Gujarat Titans piled up a massive 229/4 in 20 overs after being put in to bat at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium.
Captain Shubman Gill led from the front with a brilliant 84 off 44 balls, while Sai Sudharsan continued his impressive season with a fluent 55 off 36 deliveries. Washington Sundar added the finishing touches with an unbeaten 37 off just 20 balls.
RR were led by stand-in captain Yashasvi Jaiswal, who stepped in for the injured Riyan Parag.
The Gujarat innings got off to a flying start as Gill and Sudharsan aggressively targeted the powerplay overs. Their intent was aided by an expensive opening over from Jofra Archer, who conceded 18 runs, including nine extras.
GT raced to 82 without loss in the first six overs, with both openers finding boundaries consistently.
Sudharsan reached his half-century in just 30 balls during the ninth over, while Gill brought up his fourth fifty of IPL 2026 in the 11th over, also off 30 deliveries.
The 118-run opening partnership was finally broken by RR bowler Yash Raj Punja, who dismissed Sudharsan in the 11th over. Gujarat Titans were 119/1 at that stage.
The visitors finished strongly as Washington Sundar and Rahul Tewatia hammered 21 runs in the final over bowled by Tushar Deshpande, including three towering sixes.
With another historic performance, Vaibhav Sooryavanshi continues to emerge as one of the biggest breakout stars of IPL 2026 and a future superstar of Indian cricket.
