Florentino Perez has made a major campaign promise ahead of Real Madrid’s presidential election on Sunday. The long-time club president confirmed that Jose Mourinho will return as manager if he wins another term in charge of the Spanish giants.
The announcement came through Perez’s social media channels. A short video featured Mourinho responding with a simple “Yes!” when asked about returning to the club.
The video was accompanied by the slogan, “So MOUch history to be made,” highlighting the Portuguese coach’s potential comeback to the Santiago Bernabeu.
Mourinho Could Begin a New Chapter at Real Madrid
Mourinho previously managed Real Madrid between 2010 and 2013. During his time at the club, he guided the team to a record-breaking La Liga title in 2012, setting a points record that stood as one of the most impressive achievements in Spanish football.
Although his first spell ended more than a decade ago, many fans still remember his ability to build a highly competitive side capable of challenging Barcelona’s dominance.
Now, Perez believes Mourinho could once again bring success to Madrid.

Barcelona have won the last two La Liga titles, leaving Real Madrid without domestic success. In Europe, the club has been eliminated in the Champions League quarter-finals in each of the past two seasons.
