Former India all-rounder Yuvraj Singh has shared a message of peace and unity amid the ongoing protests over the NEET exam paper leak. Through an Instagram Story, the cricket star urged people to choose dialogue and work towards a peaceful solution while stressing the importance of protecting students and ensuring a better future.
His message comes as protests continue across the country, with political tensions and public debate surrounding the alleged paper leak.
Yuvraj Singh Calls For Peace And Opportunity
Yuvraj Singh appealed to citizens to stand together and create an environment where every child and student feels safe and supported.
In his Instagram Story, he wrote:
“To every child, student, woman, and man: you deserve the opportunity to learn in peace, grow with safety, and chase your dreams. Your well-being is the foundation of a brighter India.”
He further encouraged people to resolve differences through discussion instead of conflict.
“Let’s come together to build communities of care, opportunity, and hope. Through dialogue, we can find an amicable solution for the sake of India’s future.”
Although Yuvraj did not directly comment on the political aspects of the issue, his message focused on peace, education, and the well-being of students.
NEET Paper Leak Protests Continue
The appeal comes after the Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) organised a ‘Sansad Chalo’ protest in New Delhi on July 20.
During the protest, Delhi Police took action to disperse demonstrators. Opposition leaders later alleged that police used lathi-charge and tear gas against protesters. The authorities have not accepted these allegations in the same terms.
Meanwhile, the issue has continued to disrupt Parliament.
Parliament Remains Deadlocked
Both the Lok Sabha and the Rajya Sabha have witnessed repeated disruptions over the controversy.
The opposition has demanded the resignation of Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan and has insisted on a discussion on the NEET-UG paper leak under a specific parliamentary rule.
However, the government has said it is prepared to hold a discussion but has objected to what it describes as additional conditions set by the opposition.
As a result, both Houses have faced several adjournments.
Delhi Police Registers FIRs
Delhi Police has registered 10 FIRs related to the protests held in the national capital.
At the same time, the Delhi High Court has issued notices to the Centre and the Delhi Police after receiving three public interest litigations alleging excessive use of force during the demonstrations.
The High Court has also directed the authorities to preserve CCTV footage and other electronic records connected to the protests while the matter remains under judicial consideration.
Focus Remains On Students
As the controversy continues, Yuvraj Singh’s message has shifted attention back to the students affected by the situation. His appeal highlights the need for a safe learning environment and encourages a peaceful resolution through dialogue.
