Fans Compare It To Salman Khan-Sushmita Sen Original
The original Chunnari Chunnari featured Salman Khan and Sushmita Sen and remains one of Bollywood’s most loved dance tracks. Originally composed by Anu Malik, the recreated version has been composed by Akshay and IP Singh.
Soon after the song dropped online, viewers began criticising the remix for lacking the energy, charm and swag of the original version.
Netizens Slam Choreography And Presentation
Several social media users expressed disappointment with the remake, with many urging filmmakers to stop recreating classic Bollywood songs.
Some viewers criticised the choreography and performances, claiming the actors failed to bring freshness or excitement to the recreated track. Others described the overall presentation as “ordinary” and “half-baked,” while some complained that remakes often ruin the nostalgia attached to iconic songs.
The dance performances of Varun Dhawan, Mrunal Thakur and Pooja Hegde also received mixed reactions from audiences online.
Trailer Received Better Response
Despite the criticism around the song, the trailer of Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai reportedly received a positive response after its release.
The trailer launch was initially scheduled for May 21, 2026, but was delayed due to technical issues before eventually being released later.
Film’s Release Date Changed Multiple Times
The film’s release date has also undergone several changes. Initially scheduled to release on May 22, 2026, the makers later shifted the film back to its original release date of June 5, 2026.
Reports suggest the changes were made to avoid a box office clash with Toxic.
