Indian Railways Launches Nepal Tourist Train Covering Pashupatinath, Pokhara and Chitwan

Indian Railways is set to launch a special international tourist train connecting central India to Nepal under its Bharat Gaurav tourism initiative.

Named the Bharat Gaurav Pashupatinath Nepal Darshan Yatra, the all-inclusive journey will depart from Indore on June 12, 2026, and will cover major religious and tourist destinations across Nepal over 9 nights and 10 days.

Destinations included in the Nepal tour

The itinerary features some of Nepal’s most famous attractions, including:

  • Kathmandu
  • Pashupatinath Temple
  • Pokhara
  • Chitwan National Park
  • Manakamana Temple

Travellers will also get to experience a ropeway ride to Manakamana Temple and a jungle safari in Chitwan National Park.

Passengers can board the train from multiple stations, including:

  • Indore
  • Ujjain
  • Bhopal
  • Itarsi
  • Jabalpur
  • Satna
