With lakhs of devotees expected to travel to Puri for the Jagannath Rath Yatra 2026, Indian Railways has announced special train services to manage the increased passenger rush and provide convenient travel options for pilgrims.
The additional services will connect Jagdalpur and Rayagada with Puri, helping devotees from different regions reach the holy city during one of India’s biggest religious festivals.
Jagdalpur–Puri Special Train Schedule
The Jagdalpur–Puri Special Train (Train No. 08553) will operate on July 15 and July 23, 2026.
- Departure: Jagdalpur at 6:00 AM
- Arrival: Puri at 1:40 AM the following day
The return service, Train No. 08554, will run on July 16 and July 24, 2026.
- Departure: Puri at 7:15 PM
- Arrival: Jagdalpur at 1:15 PM the next day
