Washington:
US President Donald Trump has said that the United States will retain all of Iran’s enriched uranium—described by him as “nuclear dust”—while indicating that Washington will handle the situation involving Hezbollah separately.

In a series of posts on Truth Social, Trump stated that the uranium material produced during US bombing operations would remain under American control and that no financial settlement would be involved.

“The U.S.A. will get all Nuclear ‘Dust,’ created by our great B2 Bombers — No money will exchange hands in any way, shape, or form,” Trump wrote.

US To Handle Hezbollah Issue Separately

Trump also clarified that the arrangement concerning Iran’s nuclear material would not involve Lebanon, even as Washington plans to address Hezbollah’s role independently.

He said the United States would work directly with Lebanon on the matter.

“This is in no way subject to Lebanon,” Trump said, adding that the US would “separately, work with Lebanon, and deal with the Hezbollah situation in an appropriate manner.”

Trump Claims Israel Prohibited From Striking Lebanon

In another significant assertion, Trump claimed that Israel would no longer carry out military strikes on Lebanese territory, saying Washington had intervened to stop further escalation.

“Israel will not be bombing Lebanon any longer. They are PROHIBITED from doing so by the U.S.A. Enough is enough!!! (sic),” he wrote.

The comments signal an attempt by Washington to control regional tensions amid the ongoing conflict dynamics involving Israel and Hezbollah.

Strait of Hormuz Reopens, But US Blockade Continues

Trump’s remarks followed an announcement by Iran that the strategically critical Strait of Hormuz had been reopened to commercial shipping.

Reacting to the development, Trump thanked Iran and confirmed that maritime traffic had resumed.

“IRAN HAS JUST ANNOUNCED THAT THE STRAIT OF IRAN IS FULLY OPEN AND READY FOR FULL PASSAGE. THANK YOU! (sic),” he posted earlier.

However, he stressed that the US naval blockade targeting Iranian operations would remain in effect until a broader agreement between Washington and Tehran is finalised.

“The naval blockade will remain in full force and effect as it pertains to Iran, only, until such time as our transaction with Iran is 100% complete,” Trump said, adding that negotiations were progressing quickly as most major points had already been settled.

Iran Confirms Shipping Access During Ceasefire

Earlier, Abbas Araghchi confirmed that commercial shipping routes through the Strait of Hormuz would remain open as long as the ceasefire holds.

The reopening of the waterway is widely viewed as a crucial step in stabilising global trade flows, given the strait’s importance to international oil shipments.
