Actor Mayim Bialik has revealed a troubling experience with a GLP-1 medication, saying she suffered severe side effects shortly after receiving a single low-dose injection.
Best known for her role in The Big Bang Theory, Bialik shared her story in a personal essay, explaining that she had hoped the medication would help manage inflammation linked to her long-standing battle with Graves’ Disease.

According to Bialik, the decision to try the medication came after discussions with multiple healthcare professionals.

As her condition worsened, Bialik’s doctor reportedly arranged for a nurse to visit her home and administer intravenous fluids to prevent dehydration.
