In a significant emotional turn, Faissal Khan, brother of actor Aamir Khan, has issued a public apology to his family following months of public disputes and allegations. The apology comes just days before Aamir Khan is set to marry his longtime partner Gauri Spratt on July 5, 2026, adding further attention to the family reconciliation.

Speaking during a conversation with YouTuber Ujjwal Trivedi, Faissal admitted that he regrets airing private family matters publicly. He acknowledged that his past statements about his family were made in anger and pain and said he should not have spoken out in that manner. Faissal specifically apologised to his mother, sister Nikhat, brother Aamir Khan, and brother-in-law Santosh Hegde, stating that rebuilding relationships is now more important than holding onto past grievances.
Faissal said, “I want to first apologise to my mother. I want to apologise to Nikhat. I want to apologise to Santosh. I also apologise to Aamir. In anger and pain, I said many things that I should never have said.” He further reflected that such disputes should have been handled privately within the family rather than in public forums.
He added that he no longer seeks justification or validation for past actions and is instead focused on reconciliation. According to Faissal, peace and restoring family ties have become his priority, replacing the need to prove who was right or wrong in earlier conflicts.
The actor also revealed that his perspective shifted after reading the Quran, which he said encouraged him to reconnect with his family and value relationships. He shared that this introspection made him realise how distant he had become from his loved ones, prompting him to take the first step toward reconciliation.
Faissal went on to describe how he reached out to his sister Nikhat, who responded warmly. He was moved to learn that their mother had been missing him, which led him to travel to Mumbai the very next day. Upon meeting his mother, Faissal apologised for past events and also met Aamir Khan to seek forgiveness for making their personal disputes public.
Despite years of estrangement and disagreements, Faissal stated that his family welcomed him back with warmth. He described the reunion as emotional, saying that his mother, sister, brother-in-law, and Aamir Khan embraced him, marking what he called a heartfelt end to their long-standing differences.
His apology comes months after he made serious allegations against Aamir Khan and the family during a podcast appearance, including claims that he was confined to their Mumbai home for over a year and was wrongly portrayed as mentally unwell. The family had earlier denied these allegations, calling them “hurtful and misleading.”
