Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath inaugurated and laid foundation stones for multiple infrastructure

May 22, 2026: Yogi Adityanath on Friday inaugurated and laid the foundation stones for 19 development projects worth ₹655 crore in Deoria. Addressing a public gathering, the Chief Minister said his government focuses on providing solutions rather than creating problems. He credited Narendra Modi for accelerating development across India and said Uttar Pradesh had gained a “new pace” of growth under the double-engine government model.

Highlighting infrastructure projects, Yogi said Deoria had undergone a major transformation compared to earlier years when the district struggled with poor roads and congestion. He said new four-lane highways, bypasses and expressway connectivity projects linking Deoria to Gorakhpur, Ballia, Varanasi and Lucknow would strengthen regional connectivity and boost investment opportunities. The Chief Minister also directed officials to operationalise the Kushinagar Agricultural University from the upcoming academic session and announced that work on a new district hospital would begin soon.

Launching a sharp attack on previous governments, Yogi claimed that Uttar Pradesh’s image had changed from being associated with mafias and crime to becoming a hub of development, medical colleges and industrial growth. He said welfare schemes, infrastructure projects and improved law and order had transformed the state’s identity nationally and globally. Referring to Ayodhya and other major religious centres, he described Uttar Pradesh as a symbol of both heritage and development, adding that the state today commands “pride and respect” across the country.
