A woman injured during the Cockroach Janta Party’s ‘Chalo Sansad’ protest remains on ventilator support

July 21, 2026: A young woman injured during the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) protest in Delhi is currently on ventilator support at Ram Manohar Lohia (RML) Hospital, according to sources. She sustained injuries during Monday’s ‘Chalo Sansad’ march, though officials have not released further details about her condition. The protest witnessed clashes as thousands of demonstrators marched towards Parliament demanding the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan over alleged examination irregularities.

According to Delhi Police, more than 118 police personnel and around 60 protesters were injured during the demonstration. Authorities said several senior police officers were among those hurt while managing the protest. The march, organised by the CJP, drew large crowds and led to confrontations between protesters and security personnel.

On Tuesday, Union Health Minister JP Nadda visited RML Hospital and Lady Hardinge Hospital to enquire about the condition of the injured protesters. Hospital authorities briefed him on the medical care being provided, stating that all admitted patients were under supervision and receiving treatment. Nadda had also met CJP representatives a day earlier and assured them that the government would internally discuss the party’s demands.
