The Indian equity benchmarks opened on a positive note on Monday, kicking off the trading week with mild gains. Benchmark indices maintained their upward momentum during early trading hours, reflecting cautious optimism among investors.

As of 9:24 AM IST, the 30-share BSE Sensex traded higher by 63.43 points, or 0.08%, at 77,163.90, after kicking off the session at 77,055.21.

Simultaneously, the broader NSE Nifty 50 index advanced by 39.40 points, or 0.16%, opening the day comfortably above the psychological level to trade at 24,095.40.
